Christmas Apple Crumble Pie by ItlnDaisy

(I just use an already made piecrust. You can make your own or buy one.)

-

FILLING

-

5 cups of preferably Granny Smith apples-cut and peeled. (Arrange in pie shell)

If apples seem too crisp to cook softly, then boil them in hot water for just a few minutes before putting in pie shell.

-

Pour 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and some nutmeg evenly over the apples.

-

CRUMB TOPPING
1/3 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
6 tablespoons of butter (softened)

-

Cut the butter into sugar and flour until crumbly
Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the apples. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.

-

YUMMY.............Enjoy
